The formal business of the annual meeting was opened by Jon Kirkpatrick, Chair of the FSC Board of Trustees. Maura Poole and John Tewson were elected to the Board and Jon Kirkpatrick, Hubert Kwisthout and Constance L McDermott were re-elected. Meriel Robson, who is standing down from the Board, was also thanked for her many years of service.

Executive Director, Rosie Teasdale, presented on FSC UK’s strategic priorities and recent highlights, before Forest Standards Manager, Owen Davies, invited participants to get involved by sharing their thoughts on a new FSC vision for UK forests. The day concluded with a tour lead by a dendrologist from the arboretum.
