In November 2019, Amy Willox joined the FSC UK team as our Forestry Outreach Manager on a part-time, fixed-term basis. Despite the challenges that a global pandemic brought, she has developed this position, and the role has evolved into a full-time, permanent position. Amy has worked tirelessly to promote Ecosystem Services verification in the UK and we are now seeing the fruits of her labour (see our recent articles: Scottish island community celebrates UK forest-first and New research to monitor forestry impacts on water).

Amy will be heading off to Canada in March, which means that we are looking for someone to build on the progress and achievements to date. This is a really exciting time for FSC Ecosystem Services verification in the UK.

We will be making the most of Amy’s remaining time with FSC UK and will remain indebted to her for the enthusiasm and determination to develop this area of work and to support the wider team. And we are sure those of you who know Amy will join us in wishing her well in the future. Our loss will be Canada’s gain!

I've thoroughly enjoyed being part of the fantastic team at FSC UK. I'm grateful for all the opportunities and experiences I've had whilst developing our work around ecosystem services. With numerous projects, collaborations, and exciting developments on the horizon, the timing is perfect for someone to step into this role!

We are recruiting for our next Forests & Ecosystem Services Manager.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to drive forward our approach to independent verification and data-driven claims about ecosystem services in forestry projects.
