"In order to improve our own understanding of topics such as continuous cover forestry, members of the FSC UK board and staff team spent a couple of enjoyable (albeit wet) hours in the forest during our board meeting. We are so fortunate to have board members with such a range of expertise and an appetite to both educate and learn. From a personal perspective, I left the woods feeling inspired and with renewed vigour for our vision work."
-Rosie Teasdale, FSC UK Executive Director.
"It was really interesting to learn more about continuous cover forestry along with the rest of the FSC UK board. It's an honour to be a member of an organisation that walks the talk of complex democratic governance. As a member organisation, FSC grants members several ways to influence its direction and activities, such as the current survey to shape our vision for UK forests, so if you’re a member, please share your views. If you’re not and you’re interested in the work of FSC, please consider joining us."
- Mike Bekin, Vice Chair of the FSC UK Board
Our vision for UK forests - share your views
We are currently developing our vision for UK forests that we hope will help us to be more impactful in our work, more relevant and powerful in our advocacy and communication, and better able to inspire everyone in the UK to strive towards a common vision of Forests For All Forever. As part of this we are inviting people to share their views through a short survey. Among the key issues that are coming through so far are species choice and silvicultural practices.
